What should I expect after treatment?

Most of our patients in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra will see Either the vessels disappear or the vessel will darken or the vessel will shrink. The surrounding skin may turn pink and be slightly swollen for up to 24 hours. Often more than one treatment is necessary to achieve full clearance of leg veins.

How does Palomar Pulsed Light work?

The Palomar Rejuvelux hand pieces emit pulses of light into the skin. The light is absorbed by the blood in visible vessels and converted to heat. The heat dissolves the cells and shrinks the vessels. Light energy is delivered over smooth pulse duration, keeping epidermal temperature lower for more comfortable treatments. How is Palomar Pulsed Light different from a laser?

Pulsed Light systems and lasers are very similar, but Palomar Pulsed Light Systems use a much larger treatment window than most lasers. This spreads light over a wider area of skin and allows faster coverage of the skin and quicker treatments as a result. What are Palomar Rejuvelux treatments like?

Our Jacksonville Cosmetic Surgery Center nurse practitioner will move the hand piece over your skin, pulsing it all the while. Each pulse will send a beam of light through your skin. A flashing light, an audible tone, and a mild sensation on the skin will tell you when the hand piece is being pulsed. Palomar leg vein treatments are skin-safe and comfortable.
